Are you a woman interested in learning more about politics?
Is your partner, daughter, sister or mother interested in getting involved?
This International Women’s Day, March 8, Liberal women — MPs, staff and senior volunteers who work in politics — will be gathered at LPC Headquarters after work to make phone calls to you, or that person you know.
They’ll be answering questions from Canadian women who want to know what it’s like to work in politics, what they wish they knew before they started, and how to take the next step.
If that sounds like an exciting conversation that you (or a woman you know) would like to have, sign up now or forward this email to a friend or family member who might be interested. We’re hoping to make 500 phone calls throughout the evening and yours could be one of them.
The Canadian women currently working in politics have accomplished some great things, especially in the Liberal Party of Canada.
From a gender-neutral cabinet to the roles being played by our 88 women MPs we’re helping to break down barriers for Canadian women.
But there is so much left to do — and I hope the conversations we have on March 8 will inspire the Canadian women we speak with to step forward, and become the next wave of women to fight for real change.
Talk to you March 8!
